LLU presents scientific developments at exhibition "Tech Industry 2016"

From 1st till 3rd December in Riga, at International Exhibition Centre Ķīpsala LLU was represented at the international mechanical engineering, metalworking, automation, electronics, electrical, tools and new technologies exhibition “Tech Industry 2016”.

The exhibition is the most important and the largest industrial project in the Baltic region, in which LLU SCIENCE STANDS are organized by Technology and Knowledge Transfer Divison (TEPEK) in cooperation with the Technical Faculty. LLU stand is run by Technical Faculties students as well as scientists who provides information about the latest LLU research.

During the exhibition at the LLU stand you could see exhibits prepared by LLU scientists. A lot of interest among visitors was for the Renault Clio, which was rebuilt in to an electric vehicle. This year great emphasis is placed on environmentally friendly solutions and alternatives to fossil fuels in vehicles as well as found solutions for ash disposal by offering to build organic fertilizer pellets.

"Tech Industry 2016" is attended by more than 270 companies from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Taiwan and other countries.

The exhibition's mission is to promote the business of manufacturing and development of international contacts and stimulate direct cooperation between Latvian and foreign businesses, reflect industries development trends in the Baltic States, promote the competitiveness of Latvian enterprises in the global market, as well as promote youth interest in engineering. This year the exhibition is attended by more than 270 companies from the Baltic, Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, CIS and other countries.
