Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technologies - LBTU invites you to an unforgettable festive atmosphere at the Christmas ball, which with a wide program for different tastes will be held on Saturday, December 17, at 20.00  in the biggest baroque era palace in the Baltics. Pre-order ticket sales from November 17 at "Biļešu Paradīze" ticket offices and Jelgava Palace Museum.

Jelgava Castle Christmas Ball will delight the hearts of the guests for the 33rd time, allowing you to conjure up a real holy feeling in the decorated Jelgava Castle on three floors and in several dance halls, where music will be played by the former and current habitants of Jelgava, those who have been and are an integral part of the ball. As usual, the Christmas party will be held in an old-fashioned atmosphere, while allowing you to enjoy music and festive entertainment to suit different tastes throughout the night.

The ball will be opened in the LBTU Hall with a polonaise, followed by a speech by the rector of the university, Irina Pilvere, and the lighting of the big christmas tree. However, the continuation is expected to be performed by the soloist of the Latvian National Opera (LNO), soprano Inga Šāubovska, and then the elegant ballroom music of the Jelgava Big Band will be played under the direction of Rait Ashmanis with soloists Aija Vītoliņa and Mārtiņa Kanter. Also, in the Hall, those who want to dance will be delighted by the Jelgava band "Tirkizbend" with great dance music throughout the night.

LNO soloists - soprano Inga Šlubovska and tenor Raimonds Bramanis, as well as an opera trio - Svetlana Okuņa (violin), Inga Ozola (cello) and Ilze Ozoliņa (piano) will perform chamber concerts in the Concert Hall. The artists will sing arias from world-famous operas, while the instrumental trio will invite the audience to enjoy the pearls of Latvian and world cinema music.

It will be possible to dance not only in the Hall, but also in the lobby of the Spiral Staircase, where the groups "Petersons Bend" and Los Pulidos will invite enthusiastic ballroom dancers to meet, while the group "Tandēms trijata" will move everyone in the Small Ballroom. Without missing a beat, the dances will also take place in the public's favorite plinth Mirror Hall, where Eriks Palkavnieks and the musical association "A' with us Jelgava" will play. But in the Silver Hall, you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere at the tables while listening to piano and accordion improvisations.

The ball will be complemented by various small festive entertainments - guests will be able to decorate gingerbread, tell the future, cast fortunes, take a snapshot or take a beautiful salon photo - as well as other creative expressions. In the museum hall, you will be delighted with an exhibition of Christmas tree gingerbread made by budding food technologists.

There will be cafes in the corridors of the palace with the possibility to buy refreshing drinks and snacks, but on the plinth you can also enjoy hot food.
