Academic profile

The study programme is aimed to prepare qualified specialists for the teaching and research work with a competence corresponding to the international standards in forestry science.

Studies are organised as lectures, discussion with supervisor and individual studies.

The main courses offered include theoretical and empirical research methodology, scientific language/terminology of forestry science, problems and theories in the field of Forestry Science research, theoretical and practical innovations/novelties in the field of Forestry Science.

Students in this programme acquire the skills to do theoretical and empirical investigations in Forestry Science in cooperation with other persons involved in the investigation, participating and presenting results in scientific conferences, able to develop new knowledge on existing knowledge and practically implementing investigation results, prepare internationally indexed publications.


Admission requirements

Master’s degree in Forestry or related fields.
Applicants with background in other field need to pass an entrance exam.
English knowledge: minimum - IELTS score 6.0, TOEFL score 547, TOEFL-iBT score 76.
