EthnoExpert is a group of ecosystem service specialists that focuses on sustainability services in the most capital-intensive industries - energy and construction. We are looking for an intern to help us with our project on peatland restoration in Russia and Eastern Europe.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The program will give you the full experience of working with a highly professional sustainability team. By the end of the summer, you will walk away with knowledge of how sustainability can affect business and environment. The internship is expected to last 2 months with flexibility on dates. 
 

Work closely with staff experienced in forest and swamp conservation, participatory community development, and social entrepreneurship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to project managers to deliver high quality client-oriented services
• Participate in project team meetings, and record meeting minutes and action items
• Assist with refining in-house tools and project management documents
• Help with social network marketing
• Additional tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements):

• Education related to, and interest in ecology and sustainable development
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and social media
• Be comfortable working alone as well as with a team and have a positive attitude
• Knowledge of Russian and English, knowledge of the Latvian language will be considered an advantage
