Students of international master's studies visit bakery "Lāči"

On 6 October 2022 master students of the international master's study programme "Agri-food Business Management" visited Lāči Bakery in scope of their study course "Innovations in the food system" practical activities.

At the Bakery "Lāči", students got acquainted with the technological process of making bread as well as with the complex preparation of Latvian traditional rye bread. There was an opportunity during the visit to taste different types of bread to better understand the differences between white bread and rye-bread, taste traditional and specific types of bread. During the excursion, students explored not only technological processes, but also issues related to export, creating of company’s structure, business building principles as well as company's experience in using zero-waste approaches.
