International Scientific Conference "EcoTech2024"
GENERAL INFORMATION
Linnaeus Eco-Tech has been an academic tradition at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden, every second year since 1997. One of the conference’s key objective is to encourage research and education collaboration among Baltic Sea region countries in order to achieve long-term sustainability. Environmental challenges have become increasingly visible as they have progressed from a local to a regional to a global concern.
14th Annual International Scientific Conference EcoTech 2024 will be held in Jelgava, November 19–22, 2024. Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Jelgava, Latvia.
It is with great delight that we welcome you to the 14th Annual International Scientific Conference "EcoTech 2024" here at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies. We believe that the conference will offer an excellent opportunity to exchange information and to discuss future trends between experienced and new researchers.
It is proposed to invite contributions in Knowledge-Intensive Bioeconomy research fields:
Exclusion of Russian Federation and Belarus from collaboration with LBTU. The war of Russian Federation against Ukraine and threatening of many other countries, as well as supportive actions of the war by Republic of Belarus are unacceptable by international democratic communities. Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies has terminated collaboration with any Russian and Belarussian institutions and their academical and scientifical staff.

CURRENCY - the currency in Latvia is the euros (EUR).
TRAVELLING TO JELGAVA
The participants are expected to reach Jelgava by themselves.
There are direct flight connection to Riga capital of Latvia from Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm (Sweden), London (Great Britain) etc.
The city Jelgava is located 40 km to South-West direction from Riga. You can reach Jelgava by trains each 30 minutes or by microbuses each 20 minutes and it costs aprx. 2,50 EUR.
LETTER OF INVITATION
Upon request, the Conference office will send a personal invitation to participate in the conference. This invitation is meant to help the participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment on the part of organizers to provide any financial support.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Annual 14th International Scientific Conference “EcoTech 2024” have consistently attracted high quality papers for presentation at Sessions. These are structured so as to give all participants the opportunity to contribute to the primary purpose of the conference, which is discussion of important current issues facing to rural development.
The language of the proceedings is English.
The papers should be submitted by 30 August 2024 using. Conference office will select the papers and organize the sessions.

All papers will be presented in sessions. Authors are asked to introduce their papers briefly in 10 minutes, but not to read them in full and allotted 5 minutes for discussions.
The sessions rooms will be equipped with video (computer) projection. The computers will be equipped with Windows and MS Office Professional in English.
We would welcome the opportunity to include your paper in the International Scientific Conference’s proceedings (see - How to submit manuscripts).
HOW TO SUBMIT MANUSCRIPTS
The Manuscripts must be submitted by August 28, 2024 electronically (as a Word document) using IOP Publishing, see Template and Review form . See Sample for Authors on References for list of references.
Authors submitting a paper do so on the understanding that the work has not been published before.
The conference organizers reserve the right not to consider any manuscripts submitted in an incorrect format or after the closing date. In any case, manuscripts will only be included in the programme when the author has registered for the conference before 30 June, 2024.
Should your manuscript be published in conference materials, the copyright of the work are with LBTU.
