- What I particularly like by choosing LBTU is, that I'm in a peaceful country and I have chosen an excellent university that provides up-to-date study environment, good courses and practise-based knowledge. Although this is an academic study programme, I appreciate the close linking to food and hospitality industry very much. The student social life is organised here very well. Regarding dormitory I have got hospitality which I ever had in my hostel life! In addition it`s worth to mention about the best student coordinators who always support and encourage us.

- Studying at LBTU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine gives you the opportunity to be taught in small groups and have practicals where you will always be able to see what is happening and participate. The lecturers at the faculty really care that you fully understand the subject and are always available for consultations if you need extra help. Coming to Jelgava itself is easy - the university provides you with all the support you need and life in the dormitory is very comfortable. Jelgava has a small town feel but with the opportunity to meet international students and if you prefer larger cities it is very easy to travel to Riga.

Abigail Edmonds (UK), Veterinary Medicine

- I picked Latvia as a country for my studies mainly because of reasonable costs, good quality studies in English and the recognised degree. I`m receiving good education, the living expenses are lower than average in other EU countries and the acquired degree is going to be accepted in Germany. What I like most about studying in Jelgava is that it is a small student town which is very clean, safe and actually really pretty with its two rivers.

Berina Eray (Germany), Veterinary Medicine

Support from the super friendly academic staff was great and it made easy for me to do my studies.

- Studying Sociology at LBTU has been one of the best decisions of my life! I am exposed to a global community, and given loads of individualized attention from my lecturers. I can learn about cultures and group functions in class, and then see them in my dorm mates, which is exciting! LBTU has beautiful facilities, modern dormitories, and a well-equipped library with many resources in English. There are plenty of qualified people to support me in my studies if I ever have a question. My professors are supportive and care about my education, and class assignments are interesting and relevant. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to study at LBTU!

Anastasia Elizabeth Taggart (USA), Sociology of Organisations and Public Administration

- I decided to study MBA because of my interest in the business world. I was searching an appropriate programme which will help me in future and LBTU attracted me towards its study courses. Coincidentally I met University representative in India and he helped me a lot with my queries and questions. It's a very big deal to leave your country and go so far for studies. You have to be damn sure about your decision.
As I came to Latvia, it was my first foreign tour so I was worried about all new things, but the University organised the transfer, helped me with dormitory procedures and then took for a city tour. That was great! It helped me to feel alright and I got used to new things so easily.
The study process is very well organised and of high quality. Until now I am very satisfied with the way the courses are conducted. Professors know how to transfer knowledge. Also the student organisation (ESN) is very active - always busy to make your stay more joyful. I learned a lot of practical things from them like how to manage time and events. All n all the infrastructure is very good and LBTU is the best place for students. At the end I can assure that coming to LBTU for studies is one of my best decisions.
